Dr Marie Ferguson
Consultant Clinical Psychologist
I am a highly experienced and approachable Consultant Clinical Psychologist working in the centre of Glasgow and Hamilton in Lanarkshire. I offer a variety of psychological therapies and services. More often than not people don’t know what’s wrong when they first decide to see a psychologist. They just know that they are ‘not themselves’ and want help to understand what is happening to them and also how to move forward.
The most common difficulty I come across in my clinics is anxiety, people tend to suffer from some form of it, even when it is not the main reason that they are attending. In my experience mental health problems, can make people feel more vulnerable and life feels more unpredictable which in itself can lead to anxiety and stress.
I have worked with adults with a wide range of difficulties for twenty years, spending the majority of my clinical career in a senior role working in busy NHS services. I was Head of Service for an Adult Mental Health Psychology Department within the NHS.
As well as providing individual therapy, I offer a range of other services, such as delivering workshops for corporate clients. If you would like to find out more, or have any questions, please feel free to contact me by phone or by email.
